About
Mathilde Le Coutour is an exhibition designer and creative lead creating spaces that tell stories and spark emotion.

Based in Brighton, Mathilde's work spans London and various international destinations within the museum, arts, and cultural sectors. She also collaborates with brands and private clients.
With over fifteen years of experience, Mathilde began her career in Paris after studying at the prestigious École Boulle and completing a Master's degree in Design, Product and Scenography at the École Normale Supérieure Paris-Cachan.
Mathilde has worked on iconic exhibitions, including the Yves Saint Laurent exhibition at the Petit Palais, which toured to Denver and Madrid, as well as memorable projects at Christie’s in London, such Audrey Hepburn’s personal collection and David Gilmour’s guitar collection.
As an independent designer, she has also created window displays for the heritage brand Moynat and designed The Crown exhibition at Bonhams, showcasing artefacts and props from the acclaimed series.
With a curious mind and a joyful, thoughtful approach to design, Mathilde aims to delight audiences with exceptional experiences while building lasting connections with collaborators and clients.

My designs aim at :
- improving the quality of spaces in functional and aesthetics terms,
- presenting art and artefacts in a meaningful way,
- bringing stories to life, initiating a sense of awe
My design process involves :
- limiting the quantity of materials used in order to reduce waste,
- prioritising natural and fully recyclable materials,
- planning the after life of a temporary design, for reuse, donating or recycling
